Welcome to our unit on the European classical civilization of Rome. We've already discussed the geography of Rome and pointed out key locations and bodies of water. Our next task is to investigate the key components, events and people that made up the two important periods of Roman history, the Republic and the Empire. Below are questions you will be answering that cover the entire breadth of the unit. Answer in great detail using paragraph form, bullet points or an outline format for each question. While we will be going over some of this work, you are responsible for having it done before we discuss it. I am not expecting one line answers to put ink on paper, but in depth responses IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Plagiarism and direct copying are illegal and just as importantly, not going to help you LEARN anything. In case you forgot, LEARNING is the entire point of school.
If you would like to type the answers or print out the document, I have attached a word document with the same questions you see below about Rome. If you have any questions about what to do, what a word or phrase means or where to find something, please let me know.
